FAWM 2011

Tomorrow begins February Album Writing Month. Again. This is my fourth year accepting the challenge. Last year, I got all the way to thirteen songs, but couldn't finish. This year, I am planning to write some pop-ish songs with a new conceptual band I'm in called Curvebreakers.
Some of last year's songs were released as part of my Aquarium EP. Some songs have yet to be released. And some songs never will be!
Anyway, you can follow my progress here or at my profile on the official FAWM site.
So... I admittedly gave up halfway through the month. Ah, well. Perhaps I will do better next year!

- 2/3/11: I finished a 16-bar verse for a song on which I will be featured. I'm counting it as song one! I've written lyrics for two other songs, but they are waiting on music from my songwriting partner, so I can't count them yet...
- 2/4/11: I uploaded a video of me spitting yesterday's verse. You should watch it.
- 2/4/11: I finished another song called Cotton Candy. It's my attempt at anti-folk.
- 2/11/11: I finished another 16 for a feature for Jack of Co.Z. I know it seems like I'm far, far behind. That's partially because I am and partially because I've written a few half-songs that aren't yet reflected in the tally...
- 2/11/11: Finished another verse for Jack. That's four!
- 2/12/11: Finished another song: No Place to Run.
- 2/15/11: Finished another feature verse for Jack's mixtape track on the Monster beat.
So... I admittedly gave up halfway through the month. Ah, well. Perhaps I will do better next year!
